Located in the north of the Mâconnais in a wild and preserved environment, the Domaine de l'Echelette operates a vineyard of 14 ha, mainly composed of Chardonnay. Certified Terra Vitis and HVE, our credo is to produce fruity and pure white wines in the great tradition of Mâconnais wines. The Domaine was built in the 19th century, and it is a building dedicated to viticulture since its construction, with a large vat room located in one of the wings of the building. Then, from the 50's, the domain lost its viticultural vocation for several reasons, the ravages of phylloxera, the decline of the planted surfaces, the lack of interest for the wines of the Maconnais... Finally, Martine and Michel Chambliaud, my parents, bought the domain in 1976 and devoted their whole life to reconstitute and enlarge progressively the original vineyard.
